garlicky green beans
time: 10 min | serves: 3-4
what you need:
- 1 lb fresh green beans (i use the skinny french kind, haricots verts)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt, pepper, parmesan to taste
- steam green beans until slightly tender – about 6-7 minutes
- shock in cold water so they stop cooking and stay firm
- in a large pan, melt butter over medium high heat – add garlic and cook about 2 minutes
- transfer green beans into pan and toss evenly for about 5 minutes
- season with salt and pepper – add parmesan and toss until it melts
- enjoy!
